It's a terrifying place. Living like a gypsy with all that I own stored in 4 dufflebags was natural and easy many years ago. Not this time. Tomorrow evening we pack the car and are leaving Las Vegas to move to a little swamptown in Florida. I spent the day throwing away, donating and selling. I cleared so much down to what I need. It came down to great art books on installation art, Lorca, Brecht and Sam Shepard, Ibsen, Mallarmes poetry and Griffin and Sabine. It was clothes and shoes one can't get away with wearing in swamplands. Juicy Couture charms. My flat iron. (moving from 115 degree weather to 90 degree weather with 80% humidity. death of me.) My polaroid camera. Bottles of paint and some paintbrushes. Enough cigarettes to last me.
